Ben Ho
Born 1962 in Canton (Now Guangzhou), China, Ben started his studies with Chinese Painting Techniques at 7 Years old. Eventually, he would be accepted as a student at the Youth Art School in HaiZhuu District Youth Art Center. 1974 Work hung in the GuangZhou-Tiajin Youth ‘s Fine Art Exhibition. Since 1978. Attended different study’s program in Guangzhou Academy Of Fine Arts University.

1988 Emigrated to New Zealand
1991 First exhibition with four others at Franklin Gallery, Franklin.
Joined exhibition for Nude’s Salon at Whitecliffe Gallery in Parnell, Auckland.
Received “Highly Commended Certificate” form Birkenhead Community Arts Council art
Competition.
1992 Became a working member of the New Zealand Fellowship Of Artists Inc.
Exhibition in Gilt Edge Gallery, Wellington.
Exhibition in French Art Shop Gallery.
1993 Exhibited in the Royal Easter Show Art Award competition and won the” First Prize” of the Watercolor Section. The second Winner of the “Public Vote” in the whole show.
Received “Highly Commended Art Award” in the New Zealand Gardener Rose Art Competition.
1994 Exhibition in the Downtown Hilton Gallery, Auckland.
Won the “First Prize” of the watercolor section in the “Royal Easter Show Art Award 1994”.
“Tong Gilmore Memorial Award” winner in Birkenhead Licensing Trust Art Competition.
Received “Merit Award” in National Art Award Competition in Cambridge.
“ Highly Commended Art Award” of NZ Gardener Rose Art Competition.
1995. First prizes [only one prizes given] Winner in the Otago Regional Council’s Art Award.
Won the 2nd prizes in oil section of Royal Easter Show Art Competition.
