Mary Mai
Born in Guangzhou China in 1964, Mary developed a desire for fine art as a child. At the age of 14, she was encouraged to further her career after she received a scholarship for formal art training. Mary and her husband Ben Ho, immigrated to New Zealand in 1988. From 1992 onwards Mary has exhibited her art widely in New Zealand, and alongside Ben, leads art tutorials.
She has won several New Zealand art awards including the professional category at Royal Easter Show in 1995 and 1996
