Ben Ho Mary Mai

Husband and wife painting team Ben and Mary have been painting and tutoring for many years. Originally trained in China, Ben and Mary moved to New Zealand in 1988 to pursue their dreams and raise a family.22 years later they have built a reputation of quality craftsmanship and selfless teaching with thousands of students throughout the country and hundreds of painting hanging in private collections throughout the world.

Born in GuangZhou China in 1962. Since 1978, Attended different studies program in GuangZhou Academy Of Fine Arts University.

1988 emigrated to New Zealand.

Since than he won numerous prestigious art awards including the Otago Regional Council Award, the K G Fraser Award, NZ Herald Award and the Gold Medal Award in the Royal Easter Show. In 1999 selected as one of five NZ artist represented NZ art to “World-Wide Millennium Painting Competition” in London, England. Have been done numerous solo and

shared exhibition nationally and international.

Also as a frequent judge for nationwide art competitions. From 1991 as became one of

popular tutor in oil and watercolour with in New

Zealand and overseas.

Born in Guangzhou China in 1964. Developed a desire for fine art as a child. From age of 14, she was encouraged to further her career when she received a scholarship for formal art training while at the school. Immigrated to New Zealand with Ben Ho in 1988. Since 1992, she started to exhibited her art widely in New Zealand. Also help Ben Ho give art tutorial.

She has won several New Zealand art Award including the professional category at Royal Easter Show in 1995 and 1996.
